Description

The FA24 kept direct injection and added displacement, which means more blow-by heading for valves nothing ever washes.

The VB WRX's 2.4L breathes harder than its predecessor and shares the same DI weakness: whatever oil vapor reaches the intake stays there. The Radium Engineering Catch Can Kits for the 2022+ WRX split the job by circuit with Fluid Lock cans on vehicle-specific brackets: the PCV kit (20-0754-FL) mounts to threaded bosses on the ABS unit and intercepts the PCV-to-manifold line, the CCV kit (20-0755-FL) mounts by the intake airbox inline between the crankcase vent port and the turbo inlet pipe, and the dual kit (20-0756-FL) runs both. Closed loop, non-VTA, emissions and track legal, and compatible with the OEM air duct.

What You'll Feel

  • Intake valves protected on a DI engine with no fuel wash to clean them
  • Oil kept out of the turbo inlet, intercooler, and charge path under high load
  • Cleaner PCV gasses returning to be burned, with sludge staying in the can
  • Track and emissions legality intact from the sealed, closed-loop design
  • Factory-hole mounting that integrates with the surrounding components

Features

  • 20-0754-FL PCV kit: mounts to existing threaded bosses on the ABS unit, inline with the PCV-to-manifold circuit
  • 20-0755-FL CCV kit: mounts by the airbox, inline between the crankcase vent port and turbo inlet pipe, catching high-load blow-by
  • 20-0756-FL dual kit: both cans with vehicle-specific brackets for full coverage
  • Fluid Lock catch cans: large 10AN ORB ports, 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, O-ring sealed dipstick
  • Pressure sealed cans, so no extra inline check valve is required
  • Closed loop, does NOT vent to atmosphere; compatible with the OEM air duct

The Details

The two circuits split the load map between them. The PCV side flows under manifold vacuum at idle, cruise, and deceleration, and would otherwise deliver crankcase vapor and sludge to the manifold right after high-load pulls; the CCV side flows hardest at wide open throttle, when crankcase pressure pushes toward the turbo inlet. Radium is explicit that the CCV kit does not address the PCV side, which is why the two kits are designed and recommended to run together, and why the dual kit exists. The Fluid Lock mechanism inside each can prevents overfilling from ever sending the collection into the intake, and service follows the usual rhythm: check the dipsticks starting at 3 to 4 weeks, expect the PCV can to fill faster, and drain by unscrewing the reservoir or adding the optional petcock kit.

Kit Includes

  • Selected configuration: PCV kit, CCV kit, or dual kit
  • Fluid Lock catch can(s) with O-ring sealed dipsticks
  • Vehicle-specific mounting brackets, hoses, fittings, and hardware

Applications

  • 2022+ Subaru WRX (VB, 2.4L FA24)
  • Compatible with the OEM air duct
  • PCV and CCV kits recommended together; each addresses only its own circuit
