Description

Two small parts that change how an existing catch can setup works.

An adapter that converts a vent-to-atmosphere Competition catch can to vent-to-engine operation, and an alternate mounting bracket for Evo X CCV kits.

Choose Your Part

  • VTA to VTE Competition catch can adapter (20-1773): converts a vent-to-atmosphere Competition catch can to a closed vent-to-engine system
  • Alternate mount for Evo X CCV kits (20-0300): a second mounting location option for the Evo X crankcase vent kit

Features

  • VTA to VTE conversion adapter for Competition catch cans
  • Adds two 7/8in-14 (10AN ORB) ports, making the can dual inlet and dual outlet
  • Alternate mounting bracket for Evo X CCV catch can kits
  • Anodized aluminum construction

The Details

The 20-1773 is a conversion part, and the reason to fit one is usually regulatory rather than mechanical. A vent-to-atmosphere can is simpler but is not emissions or tech legal in many contexts; routing filtered air back to the engine to be burned restores that, and also promotes negative crankcase pressure. If your Competition can currently vents to atmosphere and you need it closed, this is the adapter.

Fitting it is quick: remove the top three screws, swap the VTA plate for the VTE plate and gasket, and two additional 10AN ORB ports are added. Top and side ports are then interchangeable as inlets or outlets, but must not be mixed — both inlets on the top or both on the side, never split across the two. A PCV valve can be used with a VTE can to hold negative crankcase pressure at all times.

The 20-0300 exists because engine bays vary. Where the standard Evo X CCV bracket location is occupied, whether by an intake, a boost pipe, or a relocated battery, this gives a second option rather than forcing a compromise.

Applications

  • 20-1773: Radium 20-0771 and 20-0772 VTA Competition catch cans
  • 20-0300: Radium Evo X CCV catch can kits

Important Notes

  • Do NOT order the 20-1773 for the 20-1771 or 20-1772: the adapter is already included with those kits
  • On a VTE setup, do not mix top and side ports; both inlets and both outlets must each be on the same face
  • Both are accessories to existing Radium catch can kits, sold separately
