The Radium Engineering 6AN ORB to 5/16in SAE male short fitting adapts a 6AN ORB port to a 5/16 inch SAE quick connect male on a shortened body, for installations where a standard-length adapter would not clear surrounding components or would push the hose route into something. Machined from billet aluminum and anodized for corrosion protection.

The Details

SAE quick connect sizing is measured by the outside diameter of the male fitting: 0.3125 inch is 5/16, 0.375 is 3/8. Measure rather than guessing, since the two look similar and do not interchange. Always lubricate the mating O-rings with a light amount of oil before installing; dry assembly is the most common cause of a nicked O-ring and a weep. Radium also offers standard and extended length versions of this conversion when clearance is not the constraint.
