Description

Sixteen millimeter SAE female to a 5/8in barb is the crankcase plumbing adapter European engines quietly demand.

The Radium Engineering 16mm SAE female to 5/8in barb fitting connects to a 16mm SAE quick connect male on the vehicle and terminates in a 5/8 inch hose barb, the standard route for adapting large factory crankcase ventilation connections to conventional hose. Machined from billet aluminum and anodized for corrosion protection.

The Details

SAE quick connect sizing is measured by the outside diameter of the male fitting on the vehicle, so confirm the size before ordering. Always lubricate the mating O-rings with a light amount of oil before installing; dry assembly is the most common cause of a nicked O-ring and a weep. Secure the barb end with a proper fuel injection clamp. Radium also offers 45 and 90 degree versions of this same conversion when the hose has to turn immediately.
