Description

12AN is where high volume feed and return plumbing lives, and the fittings for it are thin on the ground.

These Radium Engineering 12AN ORB fittings serve the large 1-1/16in-12 ORB ports found on surge tanks, high flow regulators, and heavy feed plumbing. ORB ports seal on an O-ring rather than tapered pipe thread, so they seal reliably and can be re-torqued without compounding.

The Details

The swivel banjo is the useful one: a single part covers routing directions that would otherwise need several fixed-angle fittings on the shelf. Note that swivel bodies sit deeper than a plain plug, so check clearance around the port before ordering.

The O-ring 5-pack is a service item worth keeping around. Replace the O-ring any time a fitting is removed and refitted, since a compressed FKM seal that has heat cycled will not seat the same way twice.
