Description

The 16mm SAE connector is everywhere on European engines and almost nowhere in an AN catalog.

The Radium Engineering 10AN ORB to 16mm SAE male fitting adapts a 10AN ORB port to a 16mm SAE quick connect male, the large-diameter connector common on European crankcase ventilation and fuel plumbing. The 10AN ORB size makes it a natural match for catch can and surge tank ports. Machined from billet aluminum and anodized for corrosion protection.

The Details

SAE quick connect sizing is measured by the outside diameter of the male fitting, so confirm the size before ordering rather than guessing from hose diameter. Always lubricate the mating O-rings with a light amount of oil before installing; dry assembly is the most common cause of a nicked O-ring and a weep. The 16mm size appears frequently on Audi and Volkswagen valve cover and crankcase connections. If the outlet needs to be clocked to a specific angle, the 20-1000-1016S swivel banjo covers the same conversion.
