Description

This is the sensor that makes flex fuel tuning work. Plumbed inline in the fuel supply, it continuously measures the ethanol percentage and temperature of the fuel actually flowing to the engine and reports both to your Haltech ECU. With that signal connected, the ECU blends fuel volume, ignition timing, and boost targets by ethanol content automatically, so the car runs correctly on straight pump gas, E85, or any mix in between without touching the laptop.

What You'll See

Live ethanol content as a channel on your dash, in your logs, and in ESP or NSP while tuning. No more guessing what the last fill actually was: if the E85 at the pump is really E70 that week, the number on screen says so and the ECU compensates before it ever becomes a knock event. Fuel temperature comes through on the same sensor, giving your tuner one more channel for diagnosing hot restart and heat soak fueling. For a boosted flex fuel build, this single input is the difference between one calibration that covers every fuel and a folder of maps you have to swap manually.
