Good tuning is built on good channels, and 1/4" Open Tip Thermocouple - 1.98m (78") delivers one. NA or Forced induction applications. Requires a TCA2 or TCA4 thermocouple amplifier.

What You'll See

Exhaust gas temperature per cylinder, the earliest warning a tuned engine gives. A lean hole shows up in EGT before it shows up in damage, and cylinder-to-cylinder spread reveals fueling or airflow imbalance nothing else catches.

• Connection: Mini K Type plug into a TCA2, TCA4 or TCA-8 amplifier, which feeds the readings to your ECU or dash over CAN

Installation Notes

Mount every probe the same distance from the head and to the same depth, or the cylinder-to-cylinder comparison means nothing. On naturally aspirated engines run the tip toward the centre of the pipe; on forced induction recess it no more than 6mm so the probe survives while still reading true gas temperature. Bungs and fittings are sold separately.
