An exposed adapter board behind a race wheel is one knee strike away from a dead CAN link. The Zestek Racing USA SCX OEM Adapter for Honda solves it by moving the vehicle-specific adapter chip inside the rear of the SCX Quick Release, fully concealed, where it maintains CAN communication with the car and carries factory steering wheel functions through to your SCX or SCX Pro. The relocated board also cleans up the look, removing the visible lip earlier designs left around the quick release base. OEM-level function without the exposed electronics.

The Details

This adapter is what lets the SCX speak your car's language. Each version is engineered and validated for a specific Honda platform, simulating the factory steering wheel's presence on the CAN network so the vehicle keeps behaving normally with the OEM wheel gone. That's also why model selection matters: an adapter for the wrong platform simply won't talk to your car, so pick your exact model from the variant list before ordering. Installation is three screws into the rear of the quick release plus the harness connection, well within reach of a home installer who already has an SCX in the car. If your model variant ships with a fuse tap, it's there because that platform needs a switched power source for the adapter.
