Every o-ring boss joint in the system seals on a ring that costs less than coffee. The Finish Line Factory Viton O-Ring makes that ring count: excellent resistance to high temperatures and chemicals, in cross sections 1.6 mm CS, 1.8 mm CS, 2.00 mm CS, 2.2 mm CS, 2.5 mm CS, 2.95 mm CS, 3.00 mm CS and inner diameters 7.5 mm ID, 10.3 mm ID, 8.9 mm ID, 11.8 mm ID, 16.3 mm ID, 19.1 mm ID, 23.5 mm ID, 29.5 mm ID, 37.0 mm ID. The Details

Viton is the fluid-seal workhorse for a reason: it holds elasticity where fuels, oils, and heat harden or swell lesser compounds. In ORB service the o-ring is the entire seal, compressed between fitting shoulder and port face, which is why replacement is maintenance rather than repair; a ring that looks flattened, nicked, or glazed has already told you everything. Size by both cross section and ID, matching the groove, since a near-miss ring seals until it suddenly doesn't. Lubricate lightly with the system fluid at assembly so the ring seats without twisting, and keep torque modest, because the ring seals long before the threads run out of strength.
