Every adapter between hose and port is a joint that can leak and millimeters you may not have. The Finish Line Factory Swivel Hose End (Braided Rubber) - 45 Degree ORB threads straight into an O-Ring Boss port, no ORB-to-AN adapter in between, with 6061 aluminum construction and an FKM o-ring for long service against fuel and oil. Offered in 6AN, 8AN, 10AN, 12AN, 16AN hose sizes with ORB threads to match. One fitting where there used to be two.

The Details

A 45 degree sweep splits the difference between straight and a full corner, taking strain out of the hose where a right angle would overshoot the routing. Assembly is the usual two-step for cutter-style ends: wrap the hose at the cut line so the braid stays tight, feed it fully into the socket, then lube the nipple threads lightly and wind the body in while the swivel keeps the hose from torquing. Aluminum AN wrenches on the flats protect the finish, and a vise jaw insert protects the socket while you work. Because the ORB end seals on its o-ring rather than a taper or flare, torque is modest and the seal is the ring itself; inspect it at every rebuild and replace it cheaply rather than stretching its service life. Rubber-lined hose is the comfortable choice for gasoline, E85, oil, and coolant plumbing; step to PTFE-lined hose and its matching ends for brake, clutch, or fuels that attack rubber over time.
