Description

A turbine housing at 900-plus degrees is a space heater bolted to your engine.

FLF has measured turbochargers well above 900 degrees Fahrenheit, radiating into everything nearby. The Finish Line Factory High Temp Turbo Blanket contains it: wrapping the turbine housing to retain heat, protect surrounding components, and reduce engine bay temperatures, in T25, T3, T4, T6 frame sizes. Cooler bay, happier intake temps, heat kept where the turbine can use it.

Benefits

  • The hot side stops broadcasting into wiring, hoses, and paint
  • Bay temps drop, and intake temps follow them down
  • Heat retained in the turbine is energy still doing work
  • Components near the turbo stop aging in fast-forward

Features

  • Wraps the turbine housing to retain and contain heat
  • Frame sizes: T25, T3, T4, T6
  • Protects surrounding components from radiant exposure above 900F
  • Reduces engine bay and intake temperatures
  • Highly effective heat retention construction
  • Sold individually

The Details

Turbo blankets attack the bay's single hottest radiator: the turbine housing. Containing that radiation protects everything in line of sight, from coil packs to brake reservoirs, and keeping exhaust energy in the housing rather than the bay serves spool and scavenging. Fitment follows turbine frame, T25 through T6 patterns here, secured per the blanket's fastening with clearance checked at the wastegate actuator and oil lines. Expect first-heat odor as materials cure, keep oil and fuel from soaking the blanket, and inspect the fasteners after the first few heat cycles. On street cars it is comfort and component life; on track cars it is intake temperature strategy.
