Retaining heat inside the pipe improves flow and horsepower while dropping bay temperatures. Wrap the heat where it belongs.

The Details

Exhaust wrap works on thermodynamics: insulating the pipe keeps gas hot and fast-moving inside while starving the engine bay of radiant heat, which is why wrapped manifolds and downpipes pay off twice, in scavenging and in everything nearby running cooler. The volcanic-fiber weave here brings the strength and flexibility the job needs, wrapping with 50 percent overlap, pulled tight, anchored with stainless ties at the ends and intervals. A light water mist makes the weave supple during install, and gloves are non-negotiable since mineral fiber and bare hands disagree. Expect some smoke on first heat as binders cure; it passes. Width follows pipe diameter, 1 inch hugging tight bends, 2 inch covering straights fast.
