The Details

Stainless mesh filtration earns its place in performance fuel systems by being honest: it can be removed, inspected, cleaned, and eventually replaced, and what it caught tells you about the tank and lines upstream. Rating follows position, coarser 100 micron mesh pre-pump where protecting the pump from debris matters, finer 30 or 10 micron post-pump where injectors need defending. Match the element to the housing's ORB size, renew o-rings while the housing is open, and log the swap; element condition over time is the fuel system's medical chart.
