The Finish Line Factory Hex Clamp Hose End finisher delivers them: high-quality anodized 6061 aluminum, highly corrosion and wear resistant, with excellent clamping load distribution for a tight fit without hose deformation, in 12.8, 14.3, 16, 16.25, 17.75, 21, 25, 28.58, 30.58, 34.95, 40.65, 44.5, 48.9, 52.4, 55.4, 58.5 mm sizes (-4, -5, -6, -7, -8, -10, -12, -14, -16, -18, -20, -24, -28, -30, -32, -34 nominal). Also stops braided hose ends from fraying. For low-pressure fuel, diesel, air, and water systems, the pretty answer that also works.

The Details

A hex clamp works like a precision version of the worm clamp idea: the machined body wraps the hose fully, distributing clamping force around the circumference instead of concentrating it at a screw housing, so the hose seals evenly and keeps its shape. On braided hose the body also cages the cut braid, ending the fray that worm clamps showcase. The lane is low pressure by design, breathers, water lines, diesel return, air plumbing, and the sizing runs on hose OD, so measure the assembled hose and match. Snug the hex evenly and the termination is as functional as it is finished.
