The Finish Line Factory Gold Sheet Heat Shield reflects a significant share of radiant heat with minimal clearance: lightweight, durable, performance-oriented sheet with strong adhesive backing that applies easily, in 20" x 20" pieces. Engine covers, firewalls, fuel cells, intake tubing: line them and lower them.

The Details

Radiant heat travels line-of-sight, which is why a reflective barrier works where insulation thickness cannot fit: the metallized gold surface bounces infrared back toward the source instead of letting the substrate soak it up. Application is surface preparation in disguise, so clean thoroughly, degrease, cut with clean shears, and press from the center out chasing air toward the edges. Reflectivity is the mechanism, meaning the shiny face must see the heat source and stay uncovered by grime to keep working. Fuel cells, intake paths, firewalls behind headers, and plastic covers near hot-side plumbing are the classic wins.
