The Finish Line Factory Crimp-On Swivel Hose End Replacement Sleeve lets you cut off a retired hose, press on a fresh sleeve, and crimp the same fitting onto new line. Offered in 6AN, 8AN, 10AN, 12AN, 16AN. The fitting survives; only the sleeve retires.

The Details

A crimp joint works by cold-forming the sleeve around hose and nipple, which is exactly why the sleeve cannot be reused: its material has already flowed into its final shape. The fitting body underneath, though, is untouched. To rebuild, cut the old sleeve off carefully without scoring the nipple, inspect the nipple barbs, slide the new sleeve on, insert fresh hose to full depth, and crimp to the specified diameter for the size. Measure the finished crimp with calipers rather than trusting feel; correct crimp diameter is what separates a permanent seal from a future leak. Sleeves must match both the fitting size and hose type; rubber-hose sleeves and PTFE-hose sleeves are not interchangeable.
