The Details

Building the full right angle into the fitting protects the hose liner, because no braided hose survives being bent 90 degrees at the collar; the sweep inside the fitting carries the turn instead. Pairing PTFE liner with a crimped sleeve stacks the two most durable choices in hose plumbing: chemistry-proof wall, mechanically permanent retention. The sleeve cold-forms around hose and nipple to a published diameter, so assembly is a crimper-and-calipers job rather than a wrench job; cut square, seat the hose to full depth, crimp, measure. The AN connection remains a dry 37 degree flare, no sealant ever. When a hose eventually retires, the machined body rebuilds with a fresh replacement sleeve. Choose crimped PTFE where the fluid is aggressive and the line must be install-and-forget; choose the reusable PTFE swivel ends instead when routes are still evolving and rebuilds will be frequent.
