The Details

Assembly starts at the eye: fresh crush washers both sides, clean faces, correct bolt thread and length, torque drawn evenly. Aim the outlet before final torque, because after that the eye is committed. Downstream, the male flare behaves like any AN connection, sealing dry on the 37 degree cone and accepting a hose end as many times as service demands. The payoff is workflow: turbo swaps, filter changes, and winter tear-downs stop consuming washer kits, because the sacrificial seal happens once and the serviceable connection carries the rest of the fitting's life.
