AN to NPT Adapter - 90 Degree

Hood clearance problems usually start half an inch above an NPT port.

A straight fitting plus a hose end sticking up off a pump or block eats space most engine bays don't have. The Finish Line Factory AN to NPT Adapter - 90 Degree turns the line flat against the component immediately, CNC machined from 6061 aluminum with black anodizing, in 3AN through 16AN and 1/8" through 1" NPT. The hose leaves the port parallel to the surface instead of towering above it. Low profile where you need it, full flow where it counts.

The Details

A 90 degree elbow is the difference between a hose that shoots straight up into the hood and one that hugs the valve cover on its way to the fuel rail. Building the turn into the fitting also protects the hose itself, because no braided line survives being forced into a right angle at its own collar. Seal the NPT threads with paste or carefully applied PTFE tape, keeping the first thread bare so nothing sheds into the system, and leave the AN flare dry; it seals metal to metal on the 37 degree face. Because the taper decides where the fitting stops turning, plan for some variation in final pointing direction, and reach for the 90 degree swivel version if your routing demands exact clocking after the port end is torqued. During AN assembly, hold the adapter's flats with an aluminum wrench so the hose end torque doesn't try to rotate the fitting in the port. Anodized 6061 shrugs off fuel, oil, and coolant exposure without the corrosion issues bare steel picks up.
