AN to AN Union

Two female hose ends can stare at each other forever without a union between them.

Every hose assembly ends in a female nut, so joining two assemblies takes a male-male bridge. The Finish Line Factory AN to AN Union is that bridge: same-size male flares on both ends, 4AN, 6AN, 8AN, 10AN, 12AN, sealing dry on the 37 degree cone. The simplest fitting in the drawer and somehow always the one you're out of.

The Details

Seals metal to metal on the 37 degree AN flare, no sealant, no tape, ever. Unions do their best work joining two finished hose assemblies: extending a run that came up short, splicing around a chassis pass-through, or connecting off-car assemblies built at the bench. Keep the union accessible rather than burying it mid-loom, because a joint you cannot reach is a joint you cannot inspect. Torque each hose end while backing the union's flats with an aluminum wrench so neither connection disturbs the other, and if the same junction also needs a size change, skip the union and use the male-male reducer in one step.
