The Details

Seals metal to metal on the 37 degree AN flare, no sealant, no tape, ever. Functionally, a swivel 90 relocates a flare: the female nut captures the buried male flare and the body re-presents it, rotated a right angle, wherever there is room to work. Because the nut swivels, the body can be aimed before the nut is torqued, which fixed elbows cannot promise. Clock the outlet, hold the body flats with a thin aluminum wrench, and draw the nut home; then the hose end attaches out in the open like any normal connection. Chain one onto a rail fitting near a firewall or a pump nestled in a subframe and a miserable assembly becomes a routine one.
