The Details

Aluminum hardline earns its place on the long, protected runs: down a frame rail, across a firewall, anywhere the path is fixed and vibration is managed at the ends with short hose sections. Work it with respect and it rewards you; use a proper bender since freehand bends kink, uncoil with a tube straightener, cut square, deburr, and flare per the fitting system with tube sleeve and nut backing the flare. The high-pressure warning is absolute: brake and power steering pressures exceed what this tube is designed for, and failure there is a safety event, not a leak. Everything else in the fluid catalog, fuel, oil, coolant, vacuum, air, is fair game and looks better for it.
