The Chaser 1JZ-GTE responds to boost and tuning the factory ECU was never built to deliver.
The Toyota Chaser 1JZ-GTE and its platform-mates share a factory ECU that prioritizes emissions and averaged-out reliability over what the engine can actually do. The Tuned By Shawn PNP Wiring Harness Kit for the Haltech Nexus connects directly to your factory harness without any permanent modifications, giving the Haltech Nexus full standalone engine control. No cutting, no splicing, fully reversible.

The Details
Built specifically for this vehicle's connector layout with OEM-spec connectors and correct wire gauge throughout. Your factory harness stays completely untouched and the car can return to stock at any time. The Haltech Nexus takes full engine control once installed, giving your tuner a clean vehicle-specific foundation to build a proper map from.
Transmission
These JZ chassis run the A340E, the electronically controlled four-speed Aisin built for Toyota's longitudinal rear-drive cars. The automatic chassis uses a different engine-bay connector layout than the manual, which is why this harness carries its own part number. Check the code stamped on the transmission ID plate before ordering — if the car is a manual, you want the manual-transmission harness instead.
