Nexus Ti6L Transmission Interface Kit - Suits GM 6L series

The Ti6L unit allows easy control for GM’s popular 6L series of automatic transmissions. Designed as an expansion module for the NEXUS ECU and VCU range the Ti6L will be programmed via our NSP software, or Rebel LS users will be able to follow the simple set up wizard in the Haltech Connect App.

Transmission tuning explained: 

• Tier 1 tuning - Shift Line pressure Adjustment, Shift Timing, TCC Lock up control, TCC Slip Control - 5 total revisions
• Tier 2 tuning - Shift Line pressure Adjustment, Shift Timing, TCC Lock up control, TCC Slip Control - 10 total revoisions - Aimed at slightly modified Transmisions
• Tier 3 Tuning - Shift Line pressure Adjustment, Shift Timing, TCC Lock up control, TCC Slip Control - 20 total revoisions - Aimed at highly modified Transmissions

Why do I have to tune my transmission? That is a great question! The reason is because the Ti6l only allows the haltech ECU to present the proper information for the internal factory transmission control unit inside the transmission to make the shifts for you. The tune on the transmission is based on a factory applicaiton. If your engine or "bult" transmisison falls outside of those parameters a transmission tune is recommended.
